Synonym:


Lithology and Thickness

Comprises three units: 1) a lower unit of laminated clayey bituminous limestone alternating with a bituminous shale and fine-grained limestone, 2) a middle unit consisting of thin-bedded fossiliferous, dolomitic limestone referred to as "Mottled Beds" and 3) an upper unit (mostly obscured at type section), of thin-bedded, highly bituminous dolomite and limestone with beds of black shale ("coal horizons") in the lower part.
